The only reason I have no tattoos is because I've never found anything that meant enough to me, and that wouldn't eventually fade. Not fade in the literal sense, but things, they come and go. I don't even feel much like the person I was five years ago.

But I'm thinking now that if I were to ever get a tattoo, it'd have to be something that would just remind me to never take things for granted. It's so hard. And that's one thing that never changes.

  1. Nah, you should get a star tattoo. Just like every other person who doesn't know what kind of tattoo to get.

THAT's one thing that will never change.

Well, personally...I knew EXACTLY why I got a star tattoo. The visualization of a star helped save my life during a serious bout with cancer. So there.
I can't speak for why the rest of my family has star tattoos, of course. But they don't strike me as people who don't know what to get in life.

  3. Erm... I meant all those *other* people who just do it out of bandwagoneering.

How about we just swap in "tribal pattern" or "chinese characters" or "barn swallow" instead of "star" so I don't feel like such an a-hole?

    Tanks :)

No doubt there's a statistic somewhere concerning the over-sensitivity of Star tattoed people....sorry about that. Ouch.
I say let's swap "Popeye Spinach cans"...the (ancient) tribal pattern of my generation...ouch, again...and we're good to go!

Something which would remind you of your childhood....the list is endless if you think to your past years/experiences. I'm kicking around the idea of an orange duck; it has several memories to me. For others they might think a guy with an orange duck is strange, but who cares it'd be for me not them.
